Bob Marley

Bob Marley was the most popular reggae singer. He became the first superstar from the third world. Moreover some people believed, that  Bob Marley was their prophet. Being an avid Rastafarian, he supported and developed this culture. He fought for equality and justice, all this things were described in his music. Bob Marley was born in Jamaica to a white father and black mother. His family was very poor and young Bob had to leave school to work as a welder.  Despite the hard life, Bob adored Jamaica, a lot of songs were devoted to his Motherland. Bob Marley died of a cancer,aged 36. Having known this news,the world was shocked. Bob Marley was given a state funeral according to the Rastafarian traditions. He became a legend, his music continues to be popular and influential.
